More than 8 years ago the film producer and artist Gerald Freimuth accompanied my work.

Countless hours driving, in my workshop and on festivals built the base of this exceptional documentary.

With huge empathy Gerald Freimuth managed to capture the very special atmosphere around the Hurdy Gurdy.

Special thanks go to Tobie Miller for her never ending translating and to Valentin Clastrier for nightlong discussions.

For the movie “A Gschicht über d`Lieb” the Hurdy Gurdy Viola from Weichselbaumer was used as the main instrument for the soundtrack.

The movie with its very reduced and atmospheric pictures is refined through this special music.

The film director Peter Evers authorised Bob Gutdeutsch for the composition of the soundtrack.

The two recordings of the Cellosuite No.1 from J.S.Bach originated between May and July 2020.
The permanent progress advancement of the Hurdy Gurdy allows
a huge range of possibilities of expression
which you can adept individually to the specific needs.
The use of three trumpets in the beginning of this track is the attempt
to clarify the possibllities of arrangements with drone instruments.
